TA/Tutor - Georgetown University's Systems Medicine MS program

The TA/Tutor will be tutoring graduate students in Systems Medicine MS program and helping faculty in assisting with the courses. This role is necessary to provide academic support to the students and the faculty from a person experienced and knowledgeable in the subject matter. The TA/Tutor will assist the faculty by monitoring and answering students' questions, assist in creation of hands-on materials, Quizzes and create detailed answer sheets for students.

Work Interactions

The TA will be supervised directly by Dr. Sona Vasudevan, Director, Systems Medicine Program and Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. The mission to enhance the student learning experience by creating materials that will provide extra support. Systems Medicine is a new and an emerging filed. Students learn better if they are provided a lot of hands-on experience in the form of activities, Quizzes and examples. Developing these is time consuming and requires someone with dedication and the knowledge to assist in this.


  • A M.S. or higher degree is required in biomedical sciences field.
  • Preference will be given to students who have a graduate degree in Systems Medicine and Bioinformatics.
