Job Details
- Directs the design and construction of all major construction and capital TU projects.Serves as the owner’s representative during the development and implementation of major capital improvement projects. Reports directly to Senior University faculty and staff on the status of Capital Improvement Projects.Directs scope development and budget estimation for requested and proposed projects. Participates in the selection of construction managers and contractors.Develops and directs staff through training and learning opportunities. Provides consultation to other Facilities Management and University departments on construction standards and may include ADA compliance issues.Establishes and maintains the archival documents and record drawings of TU’s assets.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or the ability to obtain the Bachelor's by June 1, 2021 and ten years of experience in institutional construction.Strong construction management experience in an institutional setting. Excellent analytical writing and communication skills are necessary to be effective in this position. Ability to work independently and as a team leader and team member. Ability to engage, lead, and develop staff effectively. This position may be required to come in off-hours to attend to projects or respond to job site issues. Higher education experience; knowledge of state procurement rules and processes preferred.A criminal background investigation is required for the hired candidate and the results may impact employment
