Job Description Summary
The Posey Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Research Specialist A to join their team in a collaborative and dynamic translational research environment. This position will be responsible for generating therapeutic T cell therapies for the treatment of lymphoma in canine (dog) patients. The individual hired will perform CRISPR/Cas9 gene-editing, lentiviral transduction of transgenes, and T cell expansions using GMP-like methodology. In addition, the individual will be responsible for documententing quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of the T cell products, which will be utilized to generate certificate of analysis (CoA) documents for each T cell product. The position will be responsible for cell culture; prior experience with cell culture and aseptic technique is required. Flow cytometry skills will be necessary for the position but prior experience is not required. This position is considered entry-level and training will be provided. Attention to organization and detail are required.

DUTIES:

In addition, the individual will be responsible for documenting, quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of the T cell products, which will be utilized to generate certificate of analysis (CoA) documents for each T cell product.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in biology, biochemistry, or related field with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
The position will be responsible for cell culture; prior experience with cell culture and aseptic technique is required. Flow cytometry skills will be necessary for the position but prior experience is not required. This position is considered entry-level and training will be provided. Attention to organization and detail are required.
