- Ensures the operational integrity and performance of all equipment and software used in support of instruction and special events on a CampusCoordinates and optimizes the Campus’ educational support services and special events/programsSupervises and schedules a team of technicians supporting academic services at the College; including but not limited to, keeping multimedia classrooms in working order and managing video distribution systemsOversees and leads technical teams supporting major eventsManages one or more operations within the department; such as, collection development, serials, sound set ups, basic Video ConferencingPerforms minor maintenance on hardware and troubleshoots problems with hardware and softwarePerforms installation of new software application programs for the departmentPerforms standard equipment set-ups; to include but not limited to, computers, data projectors, document cameras, and multimedia cartsTroubleshoots multimedia delivery systems and provides basic support in an academic settingMaintains an accurate inventory of equipment, materials and instructional resources for classroom use

- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field plus five (5) years related work experience; or an Associate’s degree in a technical or related field plus nine (9) years related work experience
- At least one (1) year of experience in a supervisory capacity
- All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge on all aspects of circulation through use of media and help desksKnowledge and understanding of the instructional systems design processKnowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory controlKnowledge of principles and practices of graphic designKnowledge of instructional video production principles, methods, techniques and standardsKnowledge of desktop publishing methods, procedures, and requirementsKnowledge of programming languages, current operating systems, and relevant software applicationsWorking knowledge of computer applications, instructional media and graphic design programs and relevant authoring and programming languagesAbility to lead a team performing technical work and coordinate day-to-day activitiesAbility to perform basic departmental functions; such as, locating materials, answering questions, and directing clientsAbility to understand and interpret educational needs and to develop effective instructional media solutionsAbility to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and proceduresAbility to evaluate and edit the content, structure, and format of a range of written materialAbility to utilize professional audiovisual facilities and equipmentAbility to supervise and train staff, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignmentsAbility to design and write promotional material
