Advertised Job Summary:The Department of Retailing within the College of HRSM seeks to employ a management professional to oversee operations of the Apple Store that will be located on the UofSC Columbia campus. The successful candidate will be expected to utilize exceptional communication and business logic to create a retail environment that inspires the team to promote ownership opportunities for customers. Place enthusiasm for technology, projects, and ideas to work while monitoring customer experiences, lead training and development, guide talent, and provide technical support. Additional expectations for the successful candidate are managing overall store operations, to include but not limited to: financial and performance management, site and profit loss management, sales and inventory; implementations of new store programs & initiatives, and ensure UofSC Apple Store meets or exceeds sale goals.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Earned MA Degree and 1 year related program experience, inclusive of retail leadership experience with a customer focused retailer, exceptional communication and business logic, accompanied with solid technological proficiency; or bachelor’s degree and 3 years of retail leadership experience with a customer focused retailer, exceptional communication and business logic, accompanied with solid technological proficiency
Preferred Qualifications:Previous consultative sales in consumer technology, proficiency with Apple-based technology and products, coupled with a proven record of high achievement. Three years of operational, financial and performance management experience, having previously managed site and profit loss.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies and procedures relevant to the area of employment. Ability to exercise judgment and discretion. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively.
