The College of Health Sciences is currently seeking a Speech Pathologist to provide consultation, assessment, and treatment of a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing impairments in patients. Major responsibilities include direct patient care, customer service, patient education, and professional collaboration. Specific duties include performing patient evaluations; treating patients for a variety of diagnoses; completing chart reviews prior to patient care; performing therapeutic procedures; documentation in medical records; write, disseminate, and maintain reports as required by both the agencies’ policies/procedures and by the State Board for Speech Pathology; provide excellent customer service to patients, families, providers, and co-workers; and communicate with and educate patients on relevant information required to provide safe and competent speech-language therapy services.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
