The University of Kentucky is seeking a Program Coordinator I position to provide critical services to patients and physicians in the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program of the Division of Hematology Oncology, Department of Internal Medicine.
Position duties include, but are not limited to, scheduling procedures for pre-transplant patients, retrieving analysis results for physicians and educating patients and families on the transplant process.The Coordinator will submit formal requests for transplants, verify patient insurance benefits, pre-certify treatments, schedule appointments and referrals for pre-transplant patients.Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
MS Windows, Excel. Coordinate patient care; attention to detail; critical thinking skills.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
Previous experience in clinical science (MT, RN) and previous experience in patient education/clinical procedures preferred.Deadline to Apply:
