Physical Requirements:

This position requires occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds and occasional loading/unloading of materials for conferences.

Shift:

Primarily Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed.

Job Summary:

Family & Consumer Sciences Extension is seeking an Extension Specialist to create, disseminate, deliver and provide programmatic oversight and guidance for training and professional development in nutrition education to Cooperative Extension Agents, paraprofessionals and community partners. Professional development subject matter includes teaching nutrition education, delivering nutrition messages, and improving policy systems and environmental settings for the limited resource audiences in Kentucky.
This position is one of a team of Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Specialists who support county educators in improving the quality of individual and family life through extension, research and outreach.
