Job Summary:The Markey Cancer Research Informatics group is looking for a highly skilled software developer to design, create, and maintain cancer registry and research data systems to support the mission and goals of the Markey Cancer Center and the Kentucky Cancer Registry.
This position is essential to the success of cancer health care providers in the state of Kentucky and for the planning and evaluation of statewide and national cancer control efforts.
The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of software development skills and experiences utilizing open source technologies and modern software development processes. A good candidate will also be able to troubleshoot and identify problems with a highly complex existing data system and implement solutions to improve legacy software.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Java, MySQL, PHP, C, Javascript, Linux Shell scripts, Ant, cross-platform development.

Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree plus two or more years related experience preferred.
