Transformative Learning (TL) provides academic preparation programming and academic support services for undergraduate students in all colleges to help them master the skills needed to become successful lifelong learners. TL houses four academic support programs including: The Peer Tutoring Program at The Study, Academic Preparation and Placement (APP), Academic Coaching, and Supplemental Instruction (SI). Members of TL strive to achieve the goal of enhancing the academic experience of students at UK by working closely with campus partners to develop student-responsive programs that best serve the entire campus community.
Candidates interested in working in the Academic Coaching program will successfully demonstrate a desire to work closely with undergraduate students, hold a rich understanding of student development, have exemplary communication and presentation skills, have familiarity with best practices in student success strategies, and a working knowledge of professional coaching competencies and ethics as outlined by the International Coach Federation.
Responsibilities for this position include: participate in ongoing professional development trainings; meet and communicate with students and other stakeholders across multiple settings and modes (one-on-one, online, phone, email, text); research, create and present workshops, trainings, and lessons; assist with assessment; assist with marketing plans; attend weekly meetings; complete accurate documentation, and other duties as assigned.
Masters degree in Social work with experience and / or certification in holistic wellness.Deadline to Apply:
