Job Summary:UK Healthcare is actively recruiting for a Strategic Relationship Manager to join our External Affairs team. This position will be responsible for supporting the enterprise’s Growth Strategy by owning external relationships across the transaction lifecycle. The Manager will have a major role during integration management efforts and will also get involved in deals as early as initiative intake and due diligence. This position will serve as one of the designated external-facing leaders of UKHC during the operationalizing of strategic partnerships such as network development, joint ventures, and acquisitions across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Additionally, this position will work in partnership with other internal stakeholders throughout the enterprise organization to ensure smooth external and internal relationships as it relates to various growth initiatives. This role will be responsible for setting up governance structures between UKHC and designated partner organization(s) and will report to the Senior Director of Growth Initiatives.
Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing and maintaining strong relationships with potential and existing partner organization(s) by understanding their needs and liaising between the partner organization(s) and UKHC on current initiatives. Also, this position will help enable the ongoing development, diligence, implementation and performance outcomes of assigned initiatives (partnerships, joint ventures, M&A, etc.) by maintaining optimal communication and collaboration between practice staff, physicians, external partners, and appropriate health system staff.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for both uncovering issues for resolution and timely escalation when contractual terms are not being met. Lastly, following the completion of the integration, this position will be involved in ongoing relationship management and progress reporting to ensure the newly acquired/partnering organization’s needs are being met, the intended value is being achieved, and any action steps needed to capture additional value.
