Physical Requirements:Sitting at computer workstation for extended periods.
Repetitive motion.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time and will have extensive periods of viewing data on PC monitor(s). There will also be periods of lifting objects up to 25 lbs.

Job Summary:The Laboratory Informaticist will be responsible for maintaining IMP servers and middleware as well as the analysis applications: FACSuite, FACSLink, FACSDiva, Fusion, SureTyper, Holotype Twin, XPonent, LIS – CoPath, SunQuest, HistoTrac; and building, testing and implementing instrument interfaces.
Develop database solutions for inventory, quality control, proficiency and competency; coordinate maintenance and follow up testing for instrumentation; test and implement system and library upgrades; data mining to provide custom reports.
Maintain MediaLab documents and forms; serve as a resource to oversee, troubleshoot, and resolve computer and instrument errors.

Preferred Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory performing flow cytometry and/or histocompatibility testing preferred.
