Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time and will have extensive periods of viewing data on PC monitor(s). There will also be periods of lifting objects up to 25 lbs.

Rotating shifts / on-call

The Laboratory Informaticist will be responsible for maintaining IMP servers and middleware as well as the analysis applications: FACSuite, FACSLink, FACSDiva, Fusion, SureTyper, Holotype Twin, XPonent, LIS – CoPath, SunQuest, HistoTrac; and building, testing and implementing instrument interfaces.

Develop database solutions for inventory, quality control, proficiency and competency; coordinate maintenance and follow up testing for instrumentation; test and implement system and library upgrades; data mining to provide custom reports.

Maintain MediaLab documents and forms; serve as a resource to oversee, troubleshoot, and resolve computer and instrument errors.

Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and successfully complete work assignments with minimal supervision.

Bachelor’s degree plus three or more years of experience in a clinical laboratory performing flow cytometry and/or histocompatibility testing preferred.
