Required License/Registration/Certification:

For Nurse Practitioner applicants, active Kentucky Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license.

For Physician Assistant applicants, current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification and active Kentucky Physician Assistant (PA) license.

Employment is contingent upon the University’s verification of credentials as required by state law and University policies.

Physical Requirements:

On occasion, may lift objects up to 50 lbs.


7:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Other days and hours as needed.

Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) I is an integral member in the ambulatory care setting in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

The APP performs physical exams; collects, interprets and documents data; conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; orders lab tests; prescribes appropriate medications and interventions; and formulates treatment plans.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree plus one or more years related ambulatory clinical experience is preferred.
