Preferred Education/Experience:

Position requires candidate to wear many hats. Assisting with teacher and therapist. Redirecting behavior and following behavioral plan, working on daily living skills with child. Needs to have communication skills and is very patient.

Hours per Week:

16+ hours per week

Job Summary:

You must be a current UK student to apply for this position. This position is located with an off-campus local Lexington resident and is not affiliated with the university.

Individual to provide (CLS/Respite) childcare for a 13 yr. old sweet girl with special needs.

In need of an outgoing, creative individual to provide aid, instruction, and support to a child who has developmental disabilities… This position requires candidates to wear many hats: assisting child with teacher and therapist. A caregiver and companion.

Work environment is in home, outdoors and in community. Including driving child to exchanges ,camps, therapies and events when needed. Need to have an insured safe vehicle with current license. Must agree to complete Background checks, abuse registry check and get or have current CPR certification.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

  • Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience with childcare and/or experience with special needs child and care.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license and car insurance.
  • Ability to complete background checks and abuse registry
