Hofstra University is a dynamic community of more than 11,000 students from around the world who are dedicated to civic engagement, academic excellence and becoming leaders in their communities and their careers.Description:Reporting to the Director of HofstraCard Services, the Associate Director Position is responsible for the management of the Hofstra’s ID card operation. The position will be responsible for managing academic and residential access levels, groups, rules and related processes for the University. The Associate Director is also responsible for providing technical expertise and support in managing and maintaining the installation, repair and preventative maintenance programs of Hofstra University’s Lenel access control system. This position is also responsible for co-managing and administering a departmental work order system, managing departmental inventory records, support databases, and excel documents that contain valuable HofstraCard Services and University records and documents.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in and provide expertise in the maintenance and repair of all equipment and software
• Manage ID Card Production System, including managing ID Card Printers, card stock and related equipment inventory
• Manage academic and residential access levels, groups, rules and related processes
• Co-manage and administer the University’s access control and work order management systems.
• Install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on Access control equipment as required
• Support office programs and initiatives
• Supervise student employees
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree required in information technology or related field. Candidate will have 3-5 years experience with low voltage/access control. Candidate will have 2-3 years experience with Lenel OnGuard, certification preferred. Candidate will have 2-3 years experience working with access control ID Card Production Systems. Candidate will have 2-3 years experience working with administering a Work Order System/Inventory Management. Familiarity with standard office software, photo editing software, and office equipment pertaining to the production of ID cards. Candidate will possess good oral and written communications skills. Candidate will posses strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Must be collaborative, organized, and detail oriented. Candidate will have the ability to participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation. Must be able to lift equipment weighing up to 40 lbs. Possess valid New York Driver’s License.
