Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to respond to questions, to provide information and to assist employees and retirees with benefits and retirement plan issues as well as to research issues, determine solutions and coordinate/ implement solutions to benefits and retirement plan issues as appropriate.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

•Organized, detail oriented and able to complete benefits processes.
•Ability to communicate well with employees at all levels and co-workers as well as vendors, third party administrators and other USG employees.
•Ability to do routine math computations.
•Ability to coordinate and complete administrative projects
•Ability to research and solve problems with benefits.
•Ability to compose memos and letters to explain benefits processes and solutions to problems.
•Experience with an HRIS system such as PeopleSoft , ADP, bswift
•Experience with Excel, Word, Powerpoint
•Work experience in Human Resources of benefits, preferred.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Does research in Alight systems, vendor portals and OneUSG Connect HCM on benefits issues and problems, reconciliation issues and transfers. Determines appropriate solutions. Coordinates solutions with Alight, SSC, AON, employee benefits vendors, HR and payroll colleagues etc. Requests additional information from employees/retirees, provides additional direction and informs employees/retirees of status as needed.

Responds to questions and assists employees/retirees with benefits problems. Determines solutions and documents issues/problems so that they can be escalated to AON, OneUSG Connect, Shared Services Center. Submits tickets to OneUSG Connect Benefits or the Shared Services Center. Tracks calls in Team Dynamix. Schedules benefits and retirement counseling appointments and financial planning office space.
