Description:

Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Urology is seeking a Research Instructor to conduct independent research/training/clinical testing pertaining to Andrology.

The selected candidate will be joining an outstanding academic group of clinician-educators.  

He or she must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a proven research record with significant publications, and contribute to the overall mission of the department and the school.  


Qualifications:
  1. A Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Toxicology/Molecular Biology or related field.
  2. Research experience in Andrology, Cell biology, Inflammatory mechanisms, Tissue specific gene and protein expression;  Genetics & epigenetics; Proteomies; Semen analysis (S/A).
  3. Strong expertise in molecular biology skills, cell culture, and experience in handling small animals.
  4. Proven ability to direct research activities and to introduce new knowledge and techniques in Urology department.

Applicants are also expected to establish a vigorous and innovative research program towards independence. Responsibilities also include training graduate students, research-oriented medical students and urology residents and fellows. Salary commensurate with experience.
