Description:
Tulane University School of Medicine, Department of Urology is seeking a Research Instructor to conduct independent research/training/clinical testing pertaining to Andrology.
The selected candidate will be joining an outstanding academic group of clinician-educators.
He or she must possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, a proven research record with significant publications, and contribute to the overall mission of the department and the school.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D degree in Biochemistry/Pharmacology/Toxicology/Molecular Biology or related field.
- Research experience in Andrology, Cell biology, Inflammatory mechanisms, Tissue specific gene and protein expression; Genetics & epigenetics; Proteomies; Semen analysis (S/A).
- Strong expertise in molecular biology skills, cell culture, and experience in handling small animals.
- Proven ability to direct research activities and to introduce new knowledge and techniques in Urology department.
Applicants are also expected to establish a vigorous and innovative research program towards independence. Responsibilities also include training graduate students, research-oriented medical students and urology residents and fellows. Salary commensurate with experience.
