The Department of Art and Archaeology at Princeton University is seeking an exceptional recent Ph.D. recipient for a research position in art history, archaeology, and bioarchaeology of late Roman and early Medieval Britain. A PhD in the History of Art or Archaeology or related field is required. Position is for one year with the expectation of renewal for a second year, subject to a satisfactory first year performance. Appointment will start as soon as July 1, 2021, and will be at the rank of Associate Research Scholar. The successful candidate may be asked to teach and/or advise undergraduate independent work during each semester of appointment, subject to sufficient enrollments and with the approval of the Office of the Dean of the Faculty. If teaching or advising, the candidate would carry a secondary rank of Lecturer. The successful candidate will carry out independent research under the mentorship of faculty in the Department in the Program in Archaeology.
