Summary of Duties:

Ensures smooth operation of raw milk receiving, milk pasteurization, and the associated clean-up and sanitation of these areas.
Routine responsibilities include driving tanker and whey trucks from the facility to the dairy farm, correctly measuring and receiving raw milk, returning the raw milk to the facility, conducting properly sampling and testing of the milk, unloading the truck, storing or processing the milk according to WSDA guidelines, completely washing and sanitizing the equipment, conscientiously completing the required documentation of all steps of the process, safely preparing the equipment for the next day’s operations.

Assist the maintenance supervisor in repairing and maintaining plant equipment.

Required Qualifications:

Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Must have, or be able to obtain at the time of hire, a valid driver’s license.
Must have, or be able to obtain within sixty (60) days of hire, a valid Dairy Technician’s license from the WSDA.
Must have or be able to obtain within fourteen (14) days of hire, a Washington State Food Handler’s permit
Must have or be able to obtain within thirty (30) days of hire, First Aid certification.
Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings and weekends.
Experience with office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a dairy processing facility.

Experience driving a tanker truck.
