POSITION TITLE: Student Assistant Groundskeeper
DEPARTMENT: Facility Services
REPORTS TO: Tony Lucenti
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist full-time and part-time employees with the general upkeep of exterior campus facilities. This is an entry level position1.1Trash removal
2.Snow removal and ice control operations from campus sidewalks.
3.Athletic Field Maintenance
4.Plant bed Maintenance
5.Perform related duties as assigned.
Replacement for students who are not attending JJC this year.
1.Must be a JJC student enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
2.Must maintain a satisfactory academic progress (minimum 2.0 GPA) and in good standing with JJC
3.Cannot work more than 20 hours per week during fall and spring semesters
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1.Must be willing to learn
2.Must work well with others.
3.Must be able to communicate effectively
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must possess the ability to lift 50 lbs. from ground to waist high. Ability to work from a ladder or power lift above ground to a height of 20-25 feet.
WORKING CONDITIONS
•Duties are performed outdoors.
