Job SummaryThe marketing coordinator is responsible for activities related to planning, developing, and implementing the marketing initiatives, primarily on behalf of the series of events branded as Carlsen Center Presents, and, as needed, for other performing arts events in the Carlsen Center. The coordinator will also be directly involved in coordinating details of special events and promotional activities related to Carlsen Center Presents. The Marketing Coordinator is fully aware that a positive experience between donors, ticket buyers, clients or touring artists and the staff is an important part of the Center’s reputation and a significant factor in public relations.
Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Marketing or other related field
Three years related business experience
Strong organizational, time management and copy writing skills
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrated knowledge of all elements of the marketing mix, as well as an understanding of the research process including qualitative, quantitative and marketing research methodologies
Ability to work effectively with professionals and managers at all levels within the College
Must work well as a member of a professional team of administrators and staff working under conditions of detail, precision and quality on a relatively constant basis
