An NC licensed teacher (with ESL experience or licensure) or a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, will be hired as a lead tutor at a rate of $30 per hour for 16 hours per week for 34 weeks during the academic year and 4 weeks, five days per week during the summer. This individual will serve as senior-level tutor who will work with the college students serving as tutors and volunteers. The ESL teacher/lead tutor will implement sound instructional practices to CVS students, review lesson activities developed by tutors, and provide support for the parent engagement activities.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position:
Experience working with English language learners at the elementary and/or middle school level and have knowledge of the NC standard course of study.Minimum Qualifications:
NC licensed teacher (with ESL experience or licensure) or Bachelor’s in Education or other related field and/or experience working with language learners.Open Date:
