Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:Experience working in a professional office environment or equivalent providing administrative support
Experience in a customer service role or applicable service-oriented position. Ability to listen, interpret and process information and respond with solutions.
Experience with processing confidential information.
Experience following written and oral job instructions.
Demonstrate ability to pay attention to accuracy and detail.
Ability to learn software and processes quickly.
Highly organized and able to maintain a high level of productivity and quality in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to prioritize work projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Ability to work effectively and independently with all levels of staff, faculty, and student management.
Must be adept with a PC and skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Experience working in a college or university environment
Experience with scheduling of appointments or events
Experience working in Academic Affairs
The ability to understand and explain university policies and procedures
Experience working with diverse populations
Experience with data base software (SAP, Banner, CLSS, EMS, AIM, GATO, TRACS/Canvas)
Three-years full-time experience working in a professional office environment or equivalent providing administrative support
Responsible for providing administrative and general clerical support to either program chairs, department chairs, deans, or directors.
Job Duties:High level assistance to Chair and Associate Chair
Assist faculty, staff and students
Assist with class schedule audits and changes
Work effectively with university functional units as needed that include faculty records, Dean’s office, facilities and other units
Serve as liaison between instructors and the Testing Center
Assist Scholarship committee
Maintain department website and social media
Assist students with registration and course issues
Supervise office student workers
Office management
Evaluation coordination
Process travel for faculty and students
Coordinate seminar series
Process work requests
Maintain office supplies inventory
Oversee office and exam security
Serve as textbook coordinator
Minimum 3 years full-time experience working in a professional office environment or equivalent providing administrative support
