Are you interested in a career at the University of Tennessee? If so, the Temporary Help Pool (THP) is a great way to get your foot in the door at UT. The Temporary Help Pool provides quality temporary support to University departments. THP employees have the opportunity to work in a campus department while continuing to look for regular positions on campus. THP assignments are located in UT departments in the Knoxville area and are available due to a vacancy, because an employee is on leave, or because of an increased workload or special project.

Qualifications
Temporary Help Pool assignments are varied and can include many different jobs such as clerical/secretarial, office administration, etc. The majority of assignments are entry to mid-level clerical support. You must have at least one year of administrative/clerical experience.  Typically, work schedules are Monday-Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM.

THP employees do not receive benefits and are paid on an hourly basis on the biweekly payroll. The level of pay varies is based on the duties performed and the assigned job classification.
