Adjunct English Instructor "Pool"
In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for English adjunct faculty (temporary, part-time) to teach at the Lex Walters Campus and/or our six county campuses in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings, on-line, and dual credit in the high schools. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching varying schedules to a diverse student body in accordance with the established syllabi using a variety of teaching methods and technology in instruction.
A Master’s degree in the teaching discipline or Master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours) required. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Excellent customer service skills are required. Please submit a copy of your graduate transcripts (unofficial copies acceptable) with your application.
Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree in English and to candidates with teaching experience, especially at the community and technical college or secondary level.Additional Comments
