Responsible for planning, education and support of oncology patient and family. Assures that the continuum of care process is complete, including intra-interdepartmental process to include: pre-admit, hospitalization, discharge, follow up in the OP. Maintains program data for analysis and RFPs. Works with Oncology Director and Oncology Medical Director / team for the development and growth of the program. Provides nursing services as needed. Other responsibilities as assigned. Salary Range:

Required Qualifications: Current CA RN licenseAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadMust demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishAll external candidates must have a Bachelor of Science in NursingMinimum 6 months experience working as a RN in an Oncology settingDemonstrated practice with and knowledge of chemotherapy agentsMinimum 2 years of clinical experienceAdvanced knowledge of leukemia disease state and treatmentMinimum 1 year experience working in a clinical or inpatient setting providing RN care to leukemia patientsBasic Life Support certification requiredMust possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and familiesDemonstrated knowledge of immunosuppressive therapies and care of the post-transplant patientOncology / BMT patient population knowledgeOncology Nurse CertificationKnowledge of complications associated with hematological oncology conditions
