The primary responsibility will be to implement effective data management practices for all projects occurring in the Missouri Prevention Science Institute under the supervision of the Director of Data Strategy. The key responsibilities include:
- Assist with all aspects of data management including documentation (such as creating data dictionaries and codebooks), data cleaning and harmonizing, data validation, and dissemination.Write, update, and maintain data management codeSupervise, assist, and train graduate assistants who are completing data management tasks.Work with full time project coordinators and PIs to gather requirements of projects and advise on best data collection and data management practices, as well asensure compliance with all data regulations and requirements.Attend regular project planning meetingsThere will also be opportunities to prepare research reports, conference presentations, dashboards, and other dissemination activities related to center research activities.Other duties as assigned by Principal Investigators or Director of Data Strategy.
- Experience with educational and behavioral research methods.Familiarity with best practices for structuring and storing data.Experience cleaning, recoding, restructuring and exporting data.Proficiency with a statistical programming language (preferably R).Familiarity with and interest in reproducible research concepts.Preferred but not required: Experience with Qualtrics survey platform and Tableau software.
