Description of Work:Thank you for applying with University Temporary Services! Please note, this application is the first step in the process for being considered for laborer roles at UNC Chapel Hill. This is not a specific position but rather, an application showing your skill set and interest in becoming a candidate for consideration with UTS.
University Temporary Services regularly recruits for the following positions:
-General Labor
-Landscaping
-Turf Tech
-Grounds Worker
If you have experience in any of these areas, please submit your application.
Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification.
General Labor:
• Moving furniture, removing carpet, painting, cleaning HVAC units, changing filters and completing other duties as assigned.
Landscaping:
• Spreading mulch, general landscape and grounds work.
• Outside maintenance including storm water maintenance, operate landscaping equipment and use tools such as blower, edger/trimmer, and mower.
• Loading and unloading of heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
• Safe operation of equipment (hand tools, shovels, picks, rakes, etc.)
Turf Tech:
• Spreading mulch, general landscape and grounds work.
• Outside maintenance including storm water maintenance, operate landscaping equipment and use tools such as blower, edger/trimmer, and mower.
Grounds Worker:
• Spreading mulch and grounds work.
• Outside maintenance including storm water maintenance, operate landscaping equipment and use tools such as blower, edger/trimmer, and mower.
Varies depending on the positions that come in. Some positions may require a valid NC Driver’s License.
