MINIMUM STARTING RATE OF PAY*: $21.37/hour

*Current benefit eligible employees will be placed within the pay range based on their current rate/range.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing clear communication and support to customers, while ensuring the customer has a satisfied experience. The Coordinator must be able to work with confidence, consistent accuracy, and independence. The person in this role will be expected to work with the complexity of the different student financial information systems and a wide range of other business processes. Responsible for leading the development and implementation of financial resources, communication outcomes, and coordination with teams across the campus to evaluate processes for efficiency and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Manage all aspects of cashiering operations related to student information system across college wide. Act as liaison to staff by providing peer coaching and subject matter expert guidance to research and troubleshoot the complexity of the different student financial information systems and a wide range of other business processes.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with teams across campus to evaluate and streamline cashiering and Student Financial processes for efficiency and continuous improvement to enhance the customer’s experience.
  • Lead and facilitate the development and implementation of system set up and upgrades, operational changes, and conducting audits of cash receipting stations.
  • Design, organize, and facilitate materials to assist in maintaining an accurate information sharing system campus wide related to cashiering and Student Financials processes.
  • Oversee the set up and managing of payment plans at the college in order to provide a variety of payment options to support student success by meeting their educational financial needs.
  • Assist with the overall operations of student financial services, paying for college options, billing and receivable, and all activities associated with student and external organizational financial accounts in compliance with federal state regulations and college policies along with standard accounting and financial procedures.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and process all Student Finance-related functions, including billing, payment processing, third party funding, refunds, 1098T tuition statements, aging of accounts, etc. to ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
  • Provide additional support to Enrollment Services department deemed necessary for student success.
  • Complete special projects as needed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Associates Degree in Finance/Business or related
Experience: Two years related experience.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
