STANDARD HOURS: 40 hours per week. Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. One night a week into the evening & occasional extra nights/weekends as needed.

This position responds to, plans and carries out all student service activities for degree seeking prospective students, providing comprehensive services by serving as the main point of contact from recruitment to enrollment. Individualized support will be provided until student’s transition to enrollment. Assess the student's stage of development and promotes student growth by determining suitable developmental tasks; assists student in establishing realistic and attainable academic and career goals. Assist with all new student recruitment. Promote technical, post-secondary education among businesses and the community.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Establish 1:1 relationships by being the primary point of contact for prospective and inquiring customers for the entire admission process through enrollment. Provide support to assigned outreach territories to include area community service and business events.
  • Plan, develop, and implement recruitment and inside and outside sales efforts and activities for future learners in various targeted markets, to generate FTE growth.
  • Use career planning, sales and relationship building approaches to explore career and educational goals with prospective students. Increase college and career readiness and match students with appropriate NWTC programs or transfer opportunities.
  • Assess the overall personal and financial plans for students; identify and initiate appropriate personalized College resources.
  • Assess the student's stage of development (academic, career, financial, and personal) and promote student growth by determining suitable developmental tasks; assist student’s in establishing realistic and attainable academic and career goals.
  • Advise students through the application process to enrollment, discuss credit for prior learning, and program pre-requisites, to insure timely graduation. Provide preliminary transcript evaluations and investigate course equivalency for prospective students.
  • Act as the ‘face’ of NWTC by creating and conducting group presentations to promote the college at events such as local businesses’ and industries’ employee gatherings, job fairs, etc. Speak publicly at events promoting NWTC enrollment and programs to audiences of all sizes.
  • Use data to develop strategic follow up communication plans with students from point of entry through first semester course enrollment and measure quarterly FTE conversion rates.
  • Conduct strategic planning and develop new innovative activities to support growth within the returning adult population.
  • Collaborate in cross-functional college teams (i.e., K12, Learning Departments, etc) to execute various recruitment and enrollment focused initiatives.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field.
Experience: Two years related work experience.

**An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office Suite, document imaging software, and database management system used in college admissions, recruiting, and enrollment services, CRM experience preferred

Other Requirements

Must hold a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the District’s standard insurance policy terms.
