Job Summary
The Student Services Coordinator provides student advising, training & leadership development and campus programming oversight in the Office of Student Activities on the Statesboro campus. This position has been identified by Federal Law (Jeanne Clery Act) as a Campus Security Authority (CSA), with significant student and campus responsibilities. CSA's are obligated to report crimes reported to them which occurred on campus, in public areas bordering campus and in certain non-campus buildings owned or controlled (leased) by the University.

Responsibilities

  • Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
  • Direct advising/supervising and development of the University Program Board (student programming body)/Organization Leadership Consultants and other general OSA students, including establishment of leadership/professional development and inclusive programming opportunities on the Statesboro Campus.
  • Facilitate and enhance current student engagement efforts including major programming
  • Provide leadership development/training opportunities and serve as a resource to 300+ registered student organizations and their faculty/staff advisor
  • Provide assistance in developing reports and graphical interpretation of data and information
  • Supervise graduate assistant
  • Serve on committees
  • Serve as leader and team player to promote goals and carry out the mission of the Division of Student Affairs, Office of Student Activities and Georgia Southern University

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree


Required Experience
  • Three or more years of related work experience

Proposed Salary
$28,100 - $34,400
