Extensive working knowledge of the organizational structure of Augusta University and the roles and responsibilities associated with the various colleges, schools and support unitsPreferred Qualifications
- Experience in providing administrative support for a director, vice president or other executive leader; Knowledge of AU policies and procedures
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with related experience to include conducting diversity, equity and inclusion/multicultural training.
- In collaboration with the DCDO, this individual will develop and provide culturally responsive trainings for ODI and based on knowledge of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) literature, actively researches new, best practices in the DEI arena.Serves as the office manager for ODI. General tasks include, but are not limited to management of office communications, including various newsletter entries and eventually a university-wide DEI newsletter; social media accounts; website development; and office agendas for ODI governance committee meetings. In addition, this person provides day-to-day oversight of ODI budgets (e.g. oversee the processing of financial expenditures, monitor and project expenditures).Coordinate meeting and activities for the Augusta University Tolerance Reformation and Unity Support Team (TRUST). Activities include, but are not limited to collecting and documenting bias incidents that are reported to TRUST; assist in directing all parties to appropriate resources and/or proper reporting channels; and help coordinate a campus response to bias incidents.As a representative of ODI, this individual will partner with the community, on-campus organizations, student affairs, faculty affairs and human resources to support campus climate initiatives and recruitment and retention efforts (activities, programming, etc.).Perform all other related duties/tasks as needed.
