Job Description Summary

Responsible to support a portfolio of School/Center programs, for completing all required program details and providing the highest level of service to faculty, staff and program participants. This position provides high-level strategic input and programmatic support for all research and new venture activities of the PSOM Center for Global Health. The coordinator will promptly and appropriately respond to all client and faculty requests. The coordinator will work with program managers and program directors during the planning process and will work with the highest level of professionalism in an independent, self-directed manner. Coordinator will complete tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure a seamless, high quality program delivery.

Job Description

The Global Health Partnership Coordinator provides high-level strategic input and programmatic support for all research and new venture activities of the PSOM Center for Global Health. Specific responsibilities include: working with the Center Directors to plan and then implement the overall research and new venture strategy of the Center, to assemble and maintain data on existing activities, to identify new activities and related funding opportunities, to conduct analyses of existing and potential new partners including assembly of project scopes and reports/budgets, and to provide administrative support to detail all relevant information regarding ongoing and new ventures with other academic institutions, hospitals and health systems, government entities and public/private partnerships. The position will enhance the visibility of the CGH across the Penn campus and assist the Directors and faculty in building Penn’s global health community through planning and collaborating on relevant events.

Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Global Health- or Public Health-relevant degree and experience preferred.
