University of Miami/UHealth is immediately seeking full time Nurse Practitioners to provide clinical oversight and coordination of COVID-19 vaccination sites, including CRB/Don Soffer 9th Floor, UHealth-Tower Tent, Sylvester, Bascom Palmer and Deerfield Beach/Broward.

Hours of Operation: Requires flexibility but generally anticipated to be Monday – Friday, business hours with some weekend coverage at the UHealth Tower Tent Site. As increased vaccine is available, hours will be driven by demand and the organization’s commitment to advance a healthy community and therefore could be subject to minor changes.

  • Work in partnership with an interprofessional team, including NPs, RNs, LPNs, Pharmacists, Administrative Staff and others.
  • Willingness to float across those local geographies with proximity to U Health.
  • Oversee the nursing team, including LPNs providing injections and RNs providing post-injection observation of patients.
  • Provide oversight and clinical support for adverse reaction and events – UHealth Tower Tent is supported by a rapid response team due to proximity to the ED, all other Ambulatory Sites are 911 call centers.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.Education and Certification: Master’s Prepared, Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing. Active National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Preferred. BLS/ACLS certifications required.

Licensure: Role requires active Florida licensure as both a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner, active DEA, active Florida Controlled Substance Registration.

Experience: Minimum of one (1) year APRN experience.
