MGH Institute of Health Professions is a graduate school in Boston that provides entry-level and post-professional programs in Nursing, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Genetic Counseling, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies. This position involves serving as a Teaching Assistant for Abnormal Psychology in an online, asynchronous LMS environment (half-semester-length, operates within a weekly schedule). The ideal candidate should be well versed in standard curriculum for college level Abnormal Psychology. Our program focuses on preparing students for healthcare professions. Clinical experience and/or the ability to relate Abnormal Psychology concepts to the health professions is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should be dedicated to student engagement and a high-touch experience for students through remote learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Regular communication with students through LMS discussion boards and email.
  • Grading/feedback of student assignments.
  • Coordination with Instructor and support for course and student needs.

  • Masters Degree or PhD in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience teaching online.
  • Working knowledge of LMS learning systems (preferably D2L).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
