The SCHOOL OF CHEMISTRY & BIOCHEMISTRY of the GEORGIA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY invites applications for its Research Scientist II position. The school has vibrant undergraduate and graduate programs, with over 300 undergraduate majors and 200 graduate students, and an extensive research portfolio. Job Summary

A Research Scientist II position with specialized training in chemical biology and drug delivery. This position is critical for the research program in the Finn laboratory that focuses on polymer development and testing. This position will include primary responsibility for the development new polymeric membranes using pre- and post-polymerization crosslinking and modifications that are amenable to hollow-fiber spinning and subsequent application to hydrocarbon separation by reverse and forward osmosis

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree and three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Master’s degree and five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD Degree
  • Five years experience in a post doctoral fellow role
