Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, science, medical, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

  • Bookkeeping including Quickbooks, CSA and Market Share software, and organic certification records
  • CSA and Online Store customer communication by email, phone, social media messaging, yearly CSA surveys, and more
  • Development and implementation of CSA marketing plan
  • Design and development of promotional materials for CSA and Online Store including flyers, mailers, press releases, etc.
  • Creating and managing content to streamline the Student Organic Farm’s website
  • Farm e-mail, phone, and social media communications
  • Processing cash and check deposits for CSA, wholesale, donations and other farm income
  • Inventory management of office materials/supplies
  • Other office tasks as needed, determined by SOF Staff
Desired Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Comfortable and effective at using Quickbooks, Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook email and calendar platforms), Facebook and Instagram, and our online CSA management platform (with training)
  • Reliable transportation and regular, 16-20 regularly scheduled work hours
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Farming experience, or familiarity with CSA farm model
  • Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, GIMP, or other graphic design software
  • Knowledge of and experience with website development and management
