Position Description:The Department of Philosophy at the College of Charleston seeks to appoint a tenure-track Assistant Professor to begin August 16, 2021. AOS: Bioethics or environmental ethics. AOC: Open. The department is interested in appointing someone whose research and teaching interests will support the Public Health and/or Environmental and Sustainability Studies programs. Ph.D. in Philosophy required by August 15th, 2021 for appointment as Assistant Professor at full salary. Promise of excellence in undergraduate teaching and research required. Under the department’s current instructional workload, the normal teaching load for those actively engaged in productive research is 3/2.
