Perform duties related to professional field assignment.

Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Other Required Qualifications
Position requires the ability to pass a drug/alcohol pre-screening; may require working competently with dangerous materials and in a dangerous environment, such as around or on rotating machinery, live electrical circuits, hazardous materials, high-pressure liquids and gas, and bot surfaces. In addition, it may require lifting heavy objects of up to 75 pounds, and working in confined spaces, noisy environments, and elevated locations (such as climbing extension ladder and other types of ladders; or using scaffolding) either inside or outside of a building. During adverse weather, activities may require extensive after hours work or callback. This job may require wearing a full-face respirator in accordance with Georgia Tech campus policies and procedures. This job will require some evening hours and hours during peak times, as well as being a part of an on-duty rotation.

Looking for a professional, graduate student, or recent graduate who is interested in gaining valuable experience working with student-athletes
Individual needed with a strong academic background that can help monitor sport-specific study halls while serving as a cross curriculum tutor for those students
Report directly to Assistant Director of Academic Programs
Receive directions and a specific student cohort determined by Student-Athlete Academic Support Staff
Participate and lead daily small group and individual study hall sessions for student-athletes
Help maintain a quiet learning environment while also organizing review sessions and teaching new study skills and learning strategies
Identify at-risk student-athletes, create individualized study plans and provide general or subject specific academic support
Create daily and weekly lesson plans to assist student-athletes with meeting specific course objectives and goals
Mentor student-athletes regarding study skills, writing, reading, note taking, organization and time management
Communicate daily with full-time student-athlete academic support staff members regarding student academic progress and performance
Expose student-athletes to professional etiquette and proper networking, written, verbal, and nonverbal communication and behavior
Combination of 15 hours per week of small group study hall and 1-1 individual for a targeted at-risk group during a continued virtual environment
Compensation - $15.00 per hour / up to 15 hours per week / for up to 15 weeks (Spring Academic Term)
