Summary of Duties:
The Program Coordinator is to coordinate with faculty to identify and promote extramural funding opportunities; confer with sponsoring agency representatives regarding program funding guidelines and policies; provide interpretation and advice to departmental personnel and guide proposal processes through submission of grant opportunities.
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.
Program Specialty: experience working with grants, contacts, legal documents, reviewing and editing documents/forms for accuracy, and/or related education or experience.
Strong proofreading skill and attention to detail.
Ability to occasionally work additional hours, including evenings and weekends to meet grant submission deadlines.
Experience successfully meeting deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field, English, journalism, communications or related field.
Familiarity with a scientific and/or engineering environment.
Three (3) years of professional level writing/editing experience that has included word processing computer applications.
A demonstrated knowledge of graphic arts principles.
Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret complex policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience in working positively with people and in accurately advising employees regarding policies and procedures.
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Demonstrated experience in using Powerpoint, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat Professional.
Monthly Salary: $2,999.00
