The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, located in Augusta, Georgia is actively seeking a board eligible/board certified pediatrician for its growing practice in Aiken, South Carolina. Position will manage and provide clinical care for patients in the Aiken, SC area (located only twenty miles from the health sciences campus). Clinical care would include but is not limited to the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of disorders, consultations, acute care, ordering and interpreting lab results, developing treatment plans, patient/family education and various procedures. The position must maintain and ensure that relevant patient records are properly updated, and will share week day and weekend emergent/after-hours call coverage and newborn nursery coverage. Call coverage includes nights, weekends and holidays. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and ability to relate to medical students and residents to enhance strong educational programs. Academic rank will be commensurate with the education and qualification of the selected candidate. The position has excellent salary and benefits.
Minimum RequirementsMedical degree from an accredited medical school/university. Board Certified/Board Eligible in General Pediatrics. Must have or be eligible for a State of South Carolina and Georgia Medical License; DEA; CPR.
Shift/SalaryAcademic rank, tenure status and salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
