Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or related field and a minimum of five years of IT experience. OR An equivalent combination of education, experience and/or certifications and a minimum of five years of IT experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Familiarity and expertise in a variety of programs Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills Proven experience developing strategic system architecture plans Above-average analytical, conceptual and troubleshooting abilities Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases Extensive experience in system and network creation and development Proven experience identifying, analyzing and resolving system problems Solid track record in prioritizing and executing tasks when under pressure Experience providing guidance and leadership to novice systems engineers Experience conducting technology, trends, standards and products research Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Novell, Windows Server, Linux Server, Load Balancing, Citrix.
- Certifications in Windows, Linux, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, Project Management etc.
Responsibilities The IT Systems Architect 3 serves in a senior level information technology role, under limited supervision and direction, leads architecture efforts on multiple projects. Works closely with business partners, program managers, project managers, business analysts, software developers, quality analysts and support specialists during all phases of projects to analyze requirements in the context of related infrastructure applications and systems, model data and software processes, produce architectural approach documents and blueprints, and provide architectural guidance, oversight and support to projects in general. Mentors other software architects, software developers, and other colleagues. Drives strategic and global enterprise architecture efforts. This staff member will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acting in the best interest of the organization, and fully supporting the mission, vision and values of Augusta University and all entities represented. The duties include, but are not limited to: Works closely with technology, applications and program managers to design major infrastructure components and processes; plans architectural improvements in coordination with project managers and provides architectural guidance and support to infrastructure engineers and quality analysts. Stays up to date with emerging technologies and participates in strategy setting; promotes adoption of strategic technologies; provides support in ROI analysis and project portfolio management leveraging infrastructure, infrastructure application rationalization, retirement, and streamlining opportunities; develops target technology/software standards and guidelines. Investigate emerging technologies and act as a subject matter expert to determine technology and infrastructure standards cross-functionally. Define and document target architecture models, processes and policies related to core infrastructure; anticipate growth and ensure scalability of the infrastructure to include servers, storage, network and infrastructure applications. Lead architecture reviews and audits, including technical security, disaster recovery and business continuity programs; Serve as a subject matter expert for design of technical infrastructure to integrate solutions into existing technology standards. Participates in special projects and perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned. Shift/Salary Shift: Days/M-F Pay Grade: 25 Salary: $80,202/Annually - $100,977/Annually
