The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Georgia is actively seeking candidates for a full-time Med-Peds allergy- immunology faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level, to serve in the Division of Allergy-Immunology and Pediatric Rheumatology (Department of Pediatrics).

Applicants must be board-certified in internal medicine (ABIM) or pediatrics (ABP), BC/BE in allergy-immunology (ABAI) and must be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Georgia. Candidates interested in clinician-educator or physician-scientist tracks will be considered.

The Division consists of a strong multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care for patients of all ages with a wide range of diseases of allergy-immunology. Clinical opportunities include maintaining a busy outpatient clinic and providing inpatient consultations. Experience in teaching medical students, residents and allergy-immunology fellows are highly desirable. The division expects faculty members to take advantage of opportunities to pursue scholarly and research interests.

Clinical operations for the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University are managed at Augusta University Health, which includes a 478-bed state of the art medical center, a Critical Care Center housing a 13-county regional trauma center and a 154-bed children’s hospital. It also includes a Medical Office Building with more than 80 outpatient practice sites in one convenient setting. The Children’s Hospital of Georgia (CHOG) houses the region’s only Level IV NICU, and a comprehensive group of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists. Minimum Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited medical school/university, completion of ACGME-accredited internal medicine or pediatric residency program, American Board of Internal Medicine certification, Board Certified/Board Eligible by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. Candidate must have or be eligible for State of Georgia Medical License, DEA and CPR certification.

Shift/Salary

Academic rank, tenure status and salary to be commensurate with qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
