Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research
OR
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials researchKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentialityAttention to detail and good laboratory practicesExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read directions for experiments with understanding of the resultsProficient with Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases or willingness to learnResponsibilities Conduct clinical research for CBGM for PAGODA at multiple medical offices in Atlanta area including reviewing patient appointment schedules and contacting subjects; new subject consent and re-consent subjects as needed; work with lab at each medical office to coordinate phlebotomy services for blood and urine sample collection; logging and processing samples in the lab; completing and uploading charts for review; prepare samples for transport to Augusta. The duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Reviewing patient appointment schedules and contacting subjects
  • Consenting subjects and completing all necessary paperwork and documentation
  • Collecting new and follow-up blood and urine samples
  • Logging and processing samples in the lab
  • Completing and uploading charts for review
  • Prepare samples for transport to Augusta
  • Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned
