The Department of Radiology and Imaging at Augusta University, AU, Georgia’s premier Health Sciences University, is recruiting for a full-time Neuroradiologist at the academic rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor. Academic rank is commensurate with training and experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic faculty that operates in a collaborative academic environment with the Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Neuro-oncology, Neuro-ophthalmology, ENT, orthopedics, and others.

Responsibilities will include a combination of patient care and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. The position offers a strong salary line and excellent fringe benefits package. The Department is equipped with two 256-slice CT scanners and one 128-slice scanner, three MRI scanners (Two 3 Tesla and one 1.5 Tesla MRI). The Nuclear Medicine section has been completely renovated with state of the art equipment to include SPECT/CT as well as a Philips PET/CT.

Minimum Requirements

Doctoral degree required (M.D., D.O. or equivalent).

The successful candidate must be eligible for board certification in Georgia to practice, ABR certified in Diagnostic Radiology, fellowship trained in neuroradiology, and hold a neuroradiology CAQ or CAQ eligibility.

Conditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review. For specific positions, the final candidate may be subject to a (pre-employment) physical, drug screen, and/or credit check.

The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree(s) as well as post-secondary course work in the form of original transcript(s). Those candidates trained by a foreign institution will also be required to provide an educational/credential evaluation.
