- This position establishes the schedule of CE office activities, prioritizes related tasks, and ensures that the Director is aware of important deadlines related to program activities this includes a myriad of duties: managing the calendar and appointments, compose correspondence/reports, manuals, preparing teaching material, making travel or meeting arrangements and travel expense reimbursements. One of the primary functions are to serve as a liaison: between CE Faculty Director and other faculty within the DCG.Promote and assist with the AAID Maxi Implant course clinical needs. Plan, schedule, order clinical supplies for the course to ensure the course runs smoothly. Work closely with Nobel Biocare to receive and return clinical supplies.Assist Faculty Director or Continuing Education with courses to include recruiting, and corresponding with possible participants before, during, and after the courses. Working with local hotels on accommodations and pursuing discount contracts in conjunction with the CE staff. Order and track all necessary supplies for CE faculty director.Create spreadsheets, including formulas, to organize, display and summarize data, facilitate analysis and Identify Interrelationships; prepare special reports for Dental College of Georgia administration and other AU Divisions as requested or required. Specifically, production data reports related to CE.Correspond and help schedule vendors and speakers for CE events for the DCG.Maintain and reconcile CE faculty director account.Nearly all of the activities, in some way facilitate the accreditation process. Maintaining accreditation is an extremely important event for every program. To be in compliance, a program must not only function according to the requirements but must supply accurate information and statistical data about the program that
documents compliance. Preparation for accreditation site is a major undertaking/ this position reviews the program information prepare a list of needed information and the source or that information, schedule dates for completion, and call a meeting of all personnel who will be Involved In the site visit it should be noted that preparation for impending accreditation can be reduced considerably if the coordinator regularly reviews and updates the required forms, preferably annually. Continually maintaining up-to-date information alleviates much of the stress of preparing for accreditation.Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.
