Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research.
OR
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, cell biology or other natural, life, health care or materials science directly related to the research area to which the position is assigned and a minimum of three years' experience in a research, basic science or clinical setting particularly clinical trials research.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databasesPreferred
    Experience with fluorescence/confocal microscopy.Previous experience in a cell biology or biochemistry laboratory.Experience in maintaining and running complicated laboratory systems.
Responsibilities This position involves participation in laboratory experiments with mammalian tissue cultures and other experimental models. Analytical procedures involve the use of a variety of techniques, including cell transfection, cell line maintenance, western blotting, quantitative PCR, chromatin immunoprecipitation, gene cloning, and plasmid preparation. The position also involves the management of routine laboratory activities such as ordering of supplies and maintenance of laboratory stocks. The duties include, but are not limited to:
    General laboratory duties, preparation of buffer solutions, maintenance of tissue cultures, maintaining laboratory stocks.Perform experimental procedures under direction of Pl: studies of gene expression (western blotting, real-lime PCR).Generation of reagents, including transfected cell lines, plasmid cloning and expression, preparation of recombinant proteins.Inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies.Perform all other related duties/tasks as assigned.
