Job Information Job ID: 12478Position # 0008328 The Georgia Cancer Center, as part of Augusta University and the MedicalCollege of Georgia, seeks outstanding senior faculty at the level ofAssociate or Full professor working in the general area of experimentaltherapeutics. Applicants must have active extramural research funding,ideally from NCI, a strong track record of independent research andpreferably experience working in an NCI designated Cancer Center.Successful applicants will join a collaborative program that works closelyto promote translational research with the clinical research oncologists.Targeted areas include, but are not limited to, drug discovery, combinationtherapies and mechanisms, drug modeling and novel biologics. Currentactivities in the GCC include studies of natural product therapeutics aswell as small molecule inhibitors and stapled peptides, which are beingevaluated in a variety of preclinical models. State-of-the-art laboratoryspace is available in the recently constructed Cancer Research Buildingand outstanding facilities for executing clinical trials are available.

Minimum Requirements

PhD or equivalent and four years' experience as an Assistant Professor

Shift/Salary A competitive salary and start-up package, commensurate with experienceand academic qualifications, is available. Conditions of Employment
