MCG-Medicine-Section of Hematology/Oncology

Augusta University Cancer Center and the Medical College of Georgia Department of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with focus in benign hematology and hemophilia in the Section of Hematology/Oncology. The successful candidate will develop robust clinical programs in collaboration with the Surgical and Radiation Oncologists within the Cancer Center’s multidisciplinary tumor clinics and basic scientists.

The medical oncology programs are well-rounded in solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, hematological malignancies, BMT, and a fellowship training program.

Minimum Requirements

MD, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medicine-Hematology/Oncology

Cancer research focus is in the areas of molecular oncology and biomarkers, signaling and angiogenesis, cancer immunotherapy, inflammation and tolerance as well as cancer prevention and control. Clinical research is conducted through the excellent Cancer Center translational research infrastructure, NCORP grant, investigator-initiated trials and participation in Cooperative Group studies. This post will collaborate with basic scientists and clinical investigators in developing a state of the art research program.
