Minimum Requirements

Minimum Requirements: Licensed to practice as a Medical or Osteopathic Physician in the State of Georgia. Must have current CPR. ACLS certification may be required as per institutional needs and Medical Director guidance. Minimum of two years as a practicing physician. Good physical and mental health: able to work under pressure; relate well to patients, security staff, visitors, and co-workers.

Preferred

Demonstrate previous management experience in a medical setting.

Responsibilities

Duties to include but are not limited to-Provides and supervises medical care to inmates. Evaluates and treats conditions of non-medical nature that relate to the general medical and health needs of inmates. Responsible for the medical and clinical management of all cases assigned and supervised by the Institutional Medical Director.
Current MD license in the state of GA. Graduate of an accredited school of Medicine. ACLS and BCLS certified.
